Meet Eve Punivai: Food & Lifestyle Creator, Mum and Storyteller
Eve Punivai is a full-time wedding photographer, proud mum to her son Micah, and plant scientist by trade. Eve brings a unique mix of creativity, heart, and curiosity to everything she does! 🫶
Eve shares the things she loves from cooking up new recipes and staying in cool places, to heartfelt life moments, honest reflections, and the beauty in everyday chaos ☁️
With a background in agricultural science, a love for storytelling, and a passion for helping people feel less alone, she always shows up as your online bestie 🥹
What kind of content do you create and why do you enjoy sharing your life online?
My content shows a mix of lifestyle, parenthood, family life, food (lots of food), and what it's like to be a woman in her late 20s living life in Aotearoa, with a toddler and pregnant with her second child! Real life, you know?
I actually adore sharing my life on social media. I’ve done it for a very long time, starting out as a way to connect with my friends and let them know what's happening in my little life.
I'm just like an online bestie. I'm an everyday girl. I think of myself as a normal person who is lucky enough to have a platform. Whether they feel sad, need support, recommendations – it's truly a beautiful way to be able to help people!
You share a lot of insights about your parenting journey. Congratulations on the second one on
the way too!
What’s something unexpected that motherhood has taught you so far?
Motherhood so far has taught me so many unexpected lessons, but one of the most valuable ones is that it is okay to feel how you feel. Not everybody's experience in life is exactly the same, so you do not need to compare yourself to others.
It's been a rough road for me, but I have learned so much through it and am now a stronger person. I am truly blessed with the little life that I have and love sharing the ups and downs with my audience!
How do you pick
yourself up when you’re not feeling so confident?
When I'm not feeling super confident or overwhelmed with something, I get myself into the kitchen. I definitely do a little bit of baking, which my husband loves.
I put on a little bit of makeup, dress myself up for the day. I'll try something new, go outside for some fresh air, meet a friend for a coffee, listen to a podcast.
I'm a mum so I'm constantly in activewear, running around after my toddler, so it is really nice to get out of that and make time for myself.

Your food content never fails to make our mouths water. Where does your passion for baking
come from?
My passion for food and baking has definitely come from my nan, my mum and my nonna. Growing up, I have fond memories of being on the bench with them baking!
I cook for people and it's my way of being warm and welcoming. It’s how we show love in our family and we always have. I mean, it's probably half the reason my husband loves me.
On top of all the incredible things you do, you’re also a wedding and families photographer!
How’d you get into that and how
does it feel to capture such sacred moments for people?
Being a photographer is something I have so much pride and joy around, it is so special to me. Capturing people's memories, whether it be weddings, their families, it's truly so special and I am so blessed to be able to call that work.
Being able to see the love through the lens and capture that moment for people is just it's something that not everyone can do!
We often see your husband popping up in your videos! What’s it like to create content together?
My darling husband is a special man to me and to a lot of people too. He's very relatable, very down to earth, and I love that people are getting to know him online because he's usually quiet around others.
Being able to create content together is so special and I love that I can share how special he is to me with my audience.

What tips do you have for people wanting to start creating content but feel a bit scared to put
themselves out there?
Creating content and putting yourself out there can be really scary. It's taken me a lot of years to become more comfortable with it.
Just start. That's my biggest advice, is just start, do your thing and all the good stuff will come to you.
