Meet Danni Duncan: Childfree Advocate & Community Founder
Danni Duncan is challenging the status quo and living her best life while doing it! As a self-professed ‘childfree’ girly, Danni advocates for women having the choice to not have children, while creating new spaces for her community.
When back home in Christchurch, she's a group fitness instructor, gym enthusiast, and runner. Whatever she’s doing, it’s always on trend, done with style, a wink, and a smile!
What kind of content do you create?
I create lifestyle content focusing on the childfree community. Everything from travel to fitness to my beautiful home – pretty much whatever is going on in my life, I'm probably going to show up and share on my socials!
What is life being childfree like and why do you enjoy sharing your experiences?
I really love the freedom that choosing to be childfree has given me. However, there's also the side of it that people don't really talk about – the loneliness and the uncertainty.
That's why I choose to show up online and share my life in the hopes that other people can feel seen and be connected.
You’re a huge advocate for creating spaces for other childfree people to connect. What else have you done outside of social media to achieve this?
I started The Others Club, which is a global childfree community. I am currently building a platform to bring all of these people together in a safe place where they can explore their identity, their future, and meet other people like them!

Tell us about yourself! What fills your cup and what hobbies do you like to explore?
Aside from talking about my choice not to have kids, I also really love fitness! I am a fitness instructor and I spend a lot of time in the gym.
I also really love exploring the world, and I'm currently planning a lot of different destinations that I want to see!
You have another account creating your dream home (@our1960shomenz), what advice would you give to someone wanting to renovate?
I also have my home account where we share our beautiful space with you! My best piece of advice is to create the home for you, not for the next buyer, because you are the one that gets to live there now.
Many creators tend to face negativity online, how do you deal with scrutiny and remain confident?
Unfortunately, a lot of content creators do face a lot of scrutiny online – me being one of them. If you are true to who you are and you're just being authentic and yourself, then you can be confident in knowing that what you're putting out there is worth it.
