Mela has become known for her incredible makeup skills. She takes inspiration from what’s trending and topical and puts on her own colourful SFX spin, fully committing with body paint, wigs, props, the whole deal 🤩
Alongside her wonderful creations, Mela offers a variety of content and guides her audience through practical tutorials for everyday makeup, impressive glam looks, and the behind the scenes of her life 🎭
What kind of content do you create?
I have a huge passion for creative makeup and that is what my content is mostly centered around. I take my face and I create all these different characters with it!
I love the creativity that comes with making content and transforming myself into these extravagant looks. I love to push myself and see how far my skills can go.
Something I've learned through my journey of creating content is it doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be fun and something you want to put your energy into!
Your makeup skills are next level. When did you start doing makeup and what makes it so enjoyable for you?
I love expressing my creativity. I sort of lose myself in the process and just create, that's what makes it so enjoyable for me!
I started these crazy makeup looks when I was 15, so it's been a while. We have grown, we have learned, and we have definitely gotten better.
My makeup journey actually started with a ring light that I found in a rubbish room, and I sat in the corner of my room with my mum's makeup. Now, here we are!
Where do you get your inspiration from for your makeup looks?
The inspiration behind my makeup looks comes from the most random places. One thing about me is once I've got something in my mind, I have to do it.
Whether this comes from the outside world, something that's popular at the moment, or just the thought inside my head.

You're working toward an art and marketing degree, how do these skills feed into your socials and content?
I am in the final year of a visual art and marketing degree. I feel like my degree has helped me gain skills such as pushing myself online, and also how to really show off my creativity.
We love watching you get ready for events and taking us along with you! How would you describe your fashion sense?
I love getting glammed and dressed up. There has been so many times where I've been stained green from a makeup look, and then the next hour be walking into an event all dressed up.
You’re so talented with so much ahead of you. What does your future look like? What are your goals and aspirations?
In the future, I want to continue to share my love and my passion through my creativity, makeup, and other sorts of art. I also want to see where this takes me!
Maybe one day I'll be on the set of a movie doing makeup. I also want to put energy into marketing and PR, which I've grown quite the love for it through the past few years.
While sharing my makeup journey, I hope I inspire someone to grab a makeup brush and see what they can create themselves.
